As the college is newly established, therefore nowhere and nothing has been stated yet. The principle goal or objectives of this institution is to spread the higher education from every corner of the remote places and to flourish the capacity or the advantage to take the facility, specially for the students who belong to the lower economical or social background.
For the formation of kumarganj degree college at kumarganj,the District Magistrate,DakshinDinajpur issued a letter, having the memo no 646(38),dated on 05.07.2012 for holding a meeting on 08.07.2012 at 11 A.M. in his office –conference room to put forward an organising committee of the college. In the said meeting the illustrious sons and daughters of the area showed the honourable District Magistrate the accumuiatediand which was donated by some large –hearted persons and a map with earmarking the college area. By his direction a memorandum of association was registered on 18.12.2012 for the certificate of registration of society, west Bengal act xxvI of 1961 and the kumarganj welfare society was registered for which number is 99205.
The college tries its best to make students a strong academic base so that they com build a good career for their future.
The collage is affiliated to the university of GourBanga .The college offers under graduate courses in arts with honours course of studies in seven subjects.
